Smoke and Fog Machine Repairs
PCN Electronics Ltd provides fault-finding and repair support for smoke machines and fog machines used in venues, events, theatres, mobile productions and other professional settings. If a machine has stopped producing fog, behaves inconsistently or is unreliable during use, get in touch and tell us the make, model and symptoms.
Common smoke and fog machine faults
Problems can involve power supplies, control boards, switches, wiring, pumps, heaters, sensors or control inputs. Symptoms may include a machine that will not power up, fails to heat, produces little or no output, leaks fluid, trips a supply or responds intermittently to its controls. These symptoms can have more than one cause, so a proper assessment is preferable to replacing parts on guesswork. Please do not open equipment or attempt electrical repairs unless you are qualified to do so.
How the repair process works
Start by sending us the manufacturer, model number, a description of the fault and any relevant history, such as when the problem started or whether it followed transport or storage. If the machine has warning indicators or an error code, include those details. We can then discuss the next step. Once received, the unit can be assessed and, where practical, the likely repair and costs discussed before work proceeds. Parts availability and the nature of the fault affect the repair options.
Drop-off and turnaround
Equipment can be brought to PCN Electronics in Saxmundham, dropped off through MAV Hire in Diss, or sent by courier by prior arrangement. Please contact us before travelling or dispatching a machine so we can confirm the appropriate handover arrangements. Turnaround depends on the fault, access to replacement parts and the current workshop workload; we will not promise a fixed completion date before assessment.
Drop-off options: MAV Hire in Diss, PCN Electronics in Saxmundham, or courier by prior arrangement. Please contact us before travelling or sending equipment.
