PA System Repairs
PCN Electronics Ltd provides repair support and fault finding for public address equipment and professional sound systems. We can discuss faults affecting mobile PA setups, installed audio equipment and systems made up of amplifiers, mixers, speakers and distribution connections. If your system is unreliable or part of it has stopped working, tell us what equipment you have and what has changed.
Common PA system problems
Examples include no sound, low or distorted output, hum, intermittent audio, one speaker or zone not working, faulty mixer channels, damaged connectors and amplifiers entering protection mode. In a multi-part system, the symptom may come from the source, mixer, amplifier, speaker, cabling or distribution path. A clear description of the full setup helps narrow down the possibilities; avoid assuming that the component with no output is necessarily the cause.
Useful information to include
Tell us the make and model of each relevant unit, how the system is connected and whether the fault affects every speaker or only a particular channel or zone. Mention any recent changes, physical damage, unusual smells, warning lights or circumstances that reproduce the fault. If practical, label components and cables before disconnecting them. Do not continue using equipment that appears unsafe, overheats or repeatedly trips a supply.
Assessment, drop-off and turnaround
Contact us before bringing or sending equipment so we can advise on the best arrangement. Options include PCN Electronics in Saxmundham, drop-off through MAV Hire in Diss, or courier delivery by prior arrangement. Large or installed systems may need a discussion about the equipment and access before a plan can be agreed. Turnaround depends on the fault, parts and workshop capacity; we will discuss findings and repair options after assessment.
Drop-off options: MAV Hire in Diss, PCN Electronics in Saxmundham, or courier by prior arrangement. Please contact us before travelling or sending equipment.
